Two students at Duke. Two different stories. One shared heartbreak.
We both knew what it felt like to watch someone we loved sit alone— not because they wanted to, but because there was simply no one there. A grandmother waiting by the phone that rarely rang. A grandfather whose stories went unheard, fading into the quiet of an empty room.
We asked ourselves: What if technology could listen?
